Actually the device being used is meant for humans, not dogs. Dog treadmills have a place to attach the leash below the dogs neck, If shane were to trip and fall, or get caught up some way, he would sit there being choked until someone released the leash.
I don't even want to get into the other assorted inhumane things he's done to that dog. I'm surprised the thing is still alive at this point.

lol it's not the OP's dog  This is actually a pretty old debate that's already been held on the shroomery. I don't have anything against owners wanting to let their dogs run on a treadmill. However, if said owner isn't taking the proper precautions, or using the right equipment, a problem exists.
I don't even think it's really a bandwagon thing either. IME anyone who cares about animals, or pets in general, should voice their concerns when viewing pictures of animals being mistreated.
