Tuesday 11 Jan 2011 Home owners caught cultivating marijuana should lose their mortgages as punishment, Midden and West-Brabant police chief Frans Heeres is quoted as saying in the Telegraaf.
Heeres told the paper he is in talks with several banks and expects mortgage firms to come up with special clauses covering marijuana cultivation later this year.
Last year, Heeres' force dismantled 590 plantations and arrested 854 people in connection with the illegal cultivation of cannabis.
Yea thats exactly what they should do, makes complete sense..I totally understand. They lose their mortgage then who gets the house? I bet it goes to the police chief for him to do as he pleases.
