ok, so i've always wondered if weed can help your mental ability regarding mathematics...i think it kinda does; certainly creates an alternative perspective.

Smoking a bowl and taking an addy made me score over 300 points higher on the SAT when I was in highschool, I feel like it lubricates the gears in my brain

Hmmm... interesting question, Im not sure.
It has never helped me with science, all the mundane but essential facets that is.
Certainly helps with art, but thats another question.
Funny, I do not think I have ever tried math while stoned....

Hmmmm, good question. I'm usually stoned when playing poker and I don't seem to have a problem with the math. Every now and then I'll have a brain fart, but for the most part, I can handle it.

not quite on the subject but i did one of my maths GCSE modules on mushrooms for a bet and failed miserably, but won the bet so whos laughing now hahah

I think it depends a lot on the person. For me, weed increases my creative thinking a lot so its great for writing music, etc. But I find its harder to think logically and analytically when i'm stoned so something like maths I would probabaly find easier sober to be honest. Just me though.

Technically, I suppose saying "maths" would be correct when you consider the broad range and differentiation (puns not necessarily intended) between the various types of math i.e. calculus versus basic arithmetic.
Also, calculus is fun if you get the nice mind-opening stoned. Makes understanding it sooo much easier.

Americans have developed a certain attitude toward math i think. It's become acceptable for our kids to say, "it's too hard." I think of math as just the opposite. It's the language of the universe. Never let your children think they can't do it. I think it was Ford who said, whether you think you can or you can't, you're right.

So true. During my "education" the times when I did not think I could do math I did poorly in it and the times I thought I could I did well, regardless of the difficulty level.

Very well said. I've always been decent at math. Except in high school, algebra was kinda hard, but then again, I never went to school and wondered why I couldn't figure out Algebra 2 But you're right, math is the language of the universe. If you can do math, you can play poker, that's for sure

I do quite well in math sober, but notice some impairment when I'm really baked. Usually in the motivation department and mental math but nothing detrimental.
I can tell you right now though, most people will experience some impairment, even if they're not aware of it.

Wasn't Coaster a math major or something of the sort? Dude does more than smoke all the time and doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Marijuana and creative writing class > marijuana and math though.
