Red Wine.
    #507797 - 12/21/10 09:37 PM (13 years, 10 months ago)

So when i was young, my family was catholic, so i use to go to church. I'm sure as you all may know catholics partake in something called the eucharist, which is the body and blood of christ. The blood is actually just wine. Now, that wine is the best wine ive ever tasted, and ive been on a search of that wine ever since. Because the church wouldn't tell me what wine they use.
I think ive finally found it. At a party last night someone pulled out a bottle of Ménage à trois, which is french for threesome. Anyway, it tasted so similar to the wine at the churches ive been too. Im so glad ive found it.
Has anyone else had Red Ménage à trois wine?

ive been drinking a lot of wine lately.  I've never heard of this one.  There are an infinite number of vineyards and wines out there.  It's insane.  Now it doesn't sound like you are 100% sure that this is the wine, but it seems to be the closest in taste as you recall?

This has been the closest as of yet. Its really good though IMO. I haven't really tried THAT many wines, i'd really like to get more into wine tasting and whatnot.

I like fruity wines!
If it's dry red wine then I'd just prefer a beer.

Try some Caduceus wine.  It's :mjk:'s wine.  Some is better than others.  Went to a party in Phx last nov and we probably had 15 or so differnt kinds of caduceus, merkin and stronghold vineyard wines.  you can buy em on their site.

Hmm, I like dry red more than any other, but usually would rather just have a good amber beer.

yea but port isn't really wine, its fortified wine. Its more of a liquor than anything else, I got my dad a $350 bottle of Grandfather Port for his 60th and he sipped one shot of it every two days, and hid it when his friends came over

I'm not much of a wine drinker though, I never really liked it. My parents raised me like a French kid giving me wine with dinner sometimes, but I was always like eh

Ménage à Trois red is a blend of three different wines.  Don't know how much research you've done, but this bit from the manufacturer may help you find other wines that are up your alley:

Quote:

Ménage à Trois red brings together three strange bedfellows: Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. To add complexity and retain character, each variety was fermented separately, then blended together prior to bottling. On top we’ve got Zinfandel, a saucy tease that brings blackberry and raspberry jam to the relationship. Merlot, with its generous mouth feel and red fruits, fits perfectly in the middle. The rich flavors and firm tannins of Cabernet Sauvignon make it the ideal candidate for the bottom layer of the trio.

Try a good Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, or Muller Thurgau

Doesn't have to be expensive either, a 10 dollar bottle of white wine is tastier than most reds.

I dont like wine for one main reason, I cant gauge how much to drink like with my usual whiskey or beer. I get too drunk way too fast.
