Nope.
When the police came to the house to arrest the boy.
The father passed out, the mother fell to the floor in a screaming fit
The boy just laughed as they handcuffed him, then looked over at his grandmother and laughed at her on the way out the door.

If I was a member of the family, I'd would probably be in handcuffs right behind him. I woulda beat the shit outta that kid when he started laughin. That ain't cool. That probably hurt his grandmother more than he could ever imagine. Been married to her husband for however many years then have to deal with some shit like that.
How old was the kid again? Didn't you say he was a teenager?

Had the boy been disciplined in any way throughout his life, this would have never happened IMHO
He is 15.
Rather than go to the funeral, he took his fathers truck for a 'joy ride' and totaled it as well.
And yea he has had a history of emotional/mental issues, that I blame on his parents for not making him mind. Everyone has to learn to suffer the consequences of their actions. Let your kids do what they want, with no restrictions/limitations, and you end up with a cold blooded murderer.
I put full blame for this tragedy on the parents shoulders.

True, but there are lots of kids like that who are just reckless and would not actually ever want to hurt anyone. Some times shit like this just happens for no apparent reason, and I guess thats what makes it even harder to cope with.

I'll side with you on this a little bit, but I think this kid had even bigger problems than everyone realized. I mean, he laughed when the cops hauled him off. Fucker had to be a sociopath from birth or something.
Ultimately, yeah, the parents probably should have been doing more to keep his shit in line. But I have a feeling that sooner or later, at some point in his life, he probably would have fallen off the deep end anyways.
