Sure we are a culture of indulgence, that is a given, but I don't think it would make that much of a difference. I am rather certain that if the drinking age was lowered that ther would be a brief influx of alcohol related accidents for a transitional period. Once that novelty wore off though I think it would even out.

American teenagers are infantile by design. Youth is artificially preserved in America at the expense of teaching responsibility and respect.
