Stank/Odor

Realistically, how much do I need to be concerned about stink/odor if I am growing one or two bagseeds from mids to upper mids potent cannabis?
I want to build a grow box but I want to be sure that I NEED a scrubber before I install all the fixtures involved to scrub the exhaust.

Right now I have 1 upper mids I'm growing and it stank up my whole room at only like 2 weeks, I think its really strain dependent though so you might not know until you start. If smell is an issue its always better to be safe than sorry IMO

I dunno, I find this question kinda funny, like asking if getting a tattoo hurts (no offense).
I guess the real question is how much do YOU need to be concerned about the smell, like do you have nosy neighbors, frequent visitors, allergies, etc. then I would definitely err on the side of caution.
I like the bulb idea. Gonna have to check that one out.

Yeah Goombah speaks the truth, that being said though I will give you a little bit of a guideline. The second I open MY ROOM door the smell is instantly noticeable, and if the door gets open it wafts down the hallway a little ways but if I shut the door the smell outside of my room dissipates quickly. If you are growing this in your parents house and thats what your worried about I wouldn't be asking whether I can get away with/out odor control, I'd be asking for a good tek to a DIY carbon scrubber or looking up some sick inline fan that can pull the air through a carbon scrubber at a bajillion CFM's and can a scrubber that can kill the smell of 100 dead skunks in the blink of an eye.
Lets us know a little bit more about your situation so we can better assist you.

i will be growing in the far end of the basement of my townhome, which is half closed off by a wall with a door. the basement is half finished and half unfinished and i will be growing in the unfinished part. though, my wife is a well-known cosmetologist and has her own studio in the finished part, so she serves many clients, including her parents. i NEED to error on the side of absolutely no smell!

Yeah question def. answered. Did you tell your wife and is she alright with it? I mean if something does happen, like smell or something, I'd hate to see your wife lose clients, esp. if she doesn't even know.

she knows i want to do the grow and where i want to set the grow up...as of right now shes not comfortable with the location. shes concerned mostly with the odor and line-of-sight of the grow area. i have the sight problem solved, but now i am working on resolving the odor issue, with a small scrubber and the deodorizing lights.
