 How can i sneak in a marijuana brownie?

My friends grandmother is in the hospital, she just has surgery. She had to have cancer removed from her lungs. They are giving her morphine for the pain, and its not helping as much as she wanted it do. So we want to give her a marijuana brownie.
But the thing is we want to know, if the doctors need to know, if its going to complicate with the morphine, or change her vitals irregularly.
She is 68 years old, and is willing to try marijuana to make her able to eat, take away some pain, and make her feel better.

i would wait till she is out of the hospital
it probably wont fuck anything up but if it does you could get into some serious trouble if caught and you never know what might happen
i was going to do the same thing with a good friend of mine

It will probably be perfectly fine as long as she stays calm. Just bring in a plate of cookies and brownies and put the brownie on there. Or bring in just the brownie. It's a brownie. I don't think they will care.

has she ever used pot before?
does she still use it reguarly?(weekly/monthly/daily?)
if it's her first time don't give her any(until she's out, then huge bake session occurs), but if she uses it monthly, at least, then i guess it's fine.

An edible with a lot of morphine is going to get her pretty fucked up.
I wouldn't do it incase she freaked out, but she'll probably just fall asleep anyway. But it's your call man.
Just make sure she knows there actually weed in the edible and assure her there won't be any complications and that its perfectly safe.
Let us know how it goes, hopefully it helps her get some pain relief.
BTW, as far as I know it won't complicate anything, her blood pressure will raise and her heartbeat will rise also.

At least she's open. I know some people who are against pot, yet still aware of all the medicinal benefits and critize those who use it. Fucked up world we livin in.
But yeah, I wouldn't advise it until she gets out. The combination of a first time smoker smoking in a hospital sounds uncomfortable. Think of all the negatives.
-First time being high in a hospital
-First time being high, getting high off something as potent as an edible
-First time getting high having to conceal it(i for sure couldn't)
-First time getting high, getting high while on morphine making it stronger.
But if you/she feels the need to I'd suggest a brownie with mids in it or something.
Good luck and hope she feelsfine and you have an awesome blaze sesh once this is over.

I would probably freak the fuck out if I was stoned in a hospital and it was one of my first times being high, I hate hospitals.
Couldn't imagine what it would be like tripping in one

First of all, If the patients pain is not under control someone needs to get on the nurse or doctors ass because it is completely unacceptable in this day and age to leave a patient in pain. There are many other alternatives to morphine available especially in a hospital.
That being said, marijuana, being an all natural (albeit illegal)alternative might give her the extra relief she needs without all the nasty side effects of narcotics. And what safer place to try it than a hospital where her vital signs will be monitored continuously. Any bad side effects, though I highly doubt she would have any, can also be treated under monitored conditions, eg. if she gets anxious (they don't need to know why) she would probably be given some ativan or something.
Additionally, this is only the beginning of grandmas troubles. She will probably be looking at chemotherapy as well. She will be needing brownies before all is said and done with that nastiness.
If it were me, I would try it. Just check with her nurse to make sure it is within her dietary orders - some people are not allowed to eat so many days postoperatively. Make sure she is not a diabetic or something as well.
Also, go slow, make little portions and try just a wee-bit at a time. Chances are she doesn't have much of an appetite right now anyway.

Ok, I'm one of the most pro pot guys out but be sure you know why your giving it to her. Now if it's for sleep then yeah do it. To take her mind off of the pain yeah do it but as a pain killer then no. There is nothing in marijuana that kills pain what it does is take your mind off it. (there is a difference being a present chemo patient believe me)
When first smoked or eaten it will accelerate the heart rate before slowing things down so make sure that is cool.
Little hospital story
I was in the hospital and I like to smoke so I went out on the balcony of the room I was in at about 2:00 am. I closed the sliding door and started to smoke. Next thing I know they are going nuts in the room directly above mine. Well (here is where they bust me) it ends up the guy above me is in one of those funky breathing tents or some crap like that and my smoke was going up in threw his window and into his room fucking with his breathing. Security for the hospital slides open my door in the middle of a hit.
Now my medical license kept me out of any real trouble but it could have got ugly if I killed the guy. I could just see it now "unintentional manslaughter by bud"

In all seriousness, just prolly wait until shes out. I'd hate to see you get into legal trouble for trying to help...but I'm sure we all know how intense edibles can be, even to a daily smoker. I see the trouble outweighing the benefits in this case, unless shes in for quite a long stay.

If it's a real concern, you should straight up ask the doctor- you may be surprised at the answer.
when I blew out two discs in my neck, I was on a shit ton of pain meds but couldn't take enough to kill the pain because of the nausea. I asked my doctor for help, and he suggested a few things then said "or you could smoke some marijuana but you didn't hear that from me".
Toke up and get better Granny!!
