when I put it into soil I forgot to give it a water I was distracted and when I checked it yesterday it wasn't looking good, I watered it but it was a bit late, today I checked again and I just threw it out, it was a bit late to try revive it, plus it wasn't an intentional clone so it wasn't actually dipped into rooting hormone or planted for ~1hour after it was cut

I have yet more bad news: Both the plants have either gone hermie or are male, I'm gonna flower anyway to see if I can still score some smoke out of it, and the seeds would be good because they would all be fem'd but if they do turn out to be male I'm gonna cut them all down and start again next year
I suppose these are the risks involved with popping 3 bagseeds and hoping for the best

Yea but shit happens I guess, I was lucky last year when I popped 2 seeds and they were both female, I guess I just ran out of luck this was more of a learning experience to get my head around indoor, I'm still going to maintain and flower them with hopes of scoring some bud, no point killing them off now. I think I've done a pretty good job with them, and I was never one to count his chickens before they hatched, so I'm not hugely pissed off anyway.

Update - Day 54 - First day of floweringAs the update says, I switched to flowering today. But since this happened Quote:
I have yet more bad news: Both the plants have either gone hermie or are male, I'm gonna flower anyway to see if I can still score some smoke out of it, and the seeds would be good because they would all be fem'd but if they do turn out to be male I'm gonna cut them all down and start again next year

I'm not guaranteed any buds yet, but I know for sure one is a hermi, the other I'm not 100% on yet, so when your smoking your next bowl, say a quick prayer for T-Rex in Australia, and hope that he gets some bud
I wouldn't mind hermie's, I'm almost outta seeds and these plants have really good genetics so some fem'd seed wouldn't go astray, they're strong and forgiving to novice growers, I'm sure I could have killed any name brand bud by now they way I've been treating them.
The LST is working uber awesomely so I'm gonna stick with it and maybe try to perfect my technique over the next few logs (I hope) they have really started to bush out and both have a really thick dense canopy, though one is noticeably denser than the other, but that's just my training. Lots of tops are poking up through the canopy so I'm thinking its prime time to switch to 12/12. I went and got myself a fancy pants timer with a battery backup to keep time if everything fucks up, it wont run the lights but it will be able to save the schedule should the power die.
Also, I made the switch from cable ties to coated wire on the recommendation of a few members, and it's LOADS easier to handle and I feel like a douche for not just going to spend the $3 earlier
Gotta head back to Bunnings and grab some nutes for flowering, I'm pretty sure I know what I need but if somebody could just give me a to let me know I'm on the right track that would help, I didn't use any nutes for flowering on my first grow, but I know I need something with an N-P-K ratio of around 5-20-5?
Sorry for the lack of photos, I was baked, It was cold and I was hungry

Pics of preflowers?
For nutes, I suggest Pureblend Pro Bloom + Liquid Karma.
I've got amazing results with these two.

it would be the disturbances in the light cycle that would of made them hermie, youl want to make sure you have no light leaks in your room, for your dark cycle in flowering when you do a fo' serious crop, or they will probably go hermie
i will send them my good vibes when i have my next fat cone
miss you rex. oh by the way i cant do friday

I sometimes go check the temps in my tent with a flashlight, but I'm only in there for 10-30 seconds at most. Is this a problem, too? I wouldn't think so.

that should be ok, just try to limit their light to anything that they would get from a full moon, I have a green CFL that I got from the op shop for $3 and that's a spectrum they don't use so I could have it on for 30mins and they would be fine

Best thing is to get a cheap thermometer that has a remote probes to go outside, you set it outsdie the grow room and have the probe inside the grow area.

So just went up to my shed and found out the timer hasn't been turning anything off So they haven't gone into flowering yet, I can't believe how much shit had gone wrong with this grow, but I guess that's why its my first indoor.
I'll fix the timer tomorrow, I'm too high and people are over

Update - Day 60 (still vegging)Well and the title would tell you, my timer has been weird and not actually turned off yet, so their still on 24hour light, but I've figured out its because even when my 400W HPS is turned off, its stays on... ...I don't know why, the only way I can actually turn it off is by unplugging it, which is fucking retarted. The CFL's and the fan turn off, along with everything else, but not the 400W HPS I might just set a timer on my phone and do it myself, until I figure this out, or get a new timer. Fucking pissed Never the less, I'm almost glad they didn't switch to flowering, because they beefed up alot in the last week, I finally have a real nice fat bush happening. These photos were taken yesterday, immediately after I LST'd the shit out of them, I'll update again in a day or two when they are looking nicer, I couldn't be bothered getting them out into the sun so I just snuck photos of them under the lights.

Nice looking bushes, although that kinda sucks about your light being retarded. Keep it up, dude!
