Funny guy. I was listening on a theory recently on deja vu where, from what I can recall, they were discussing that it is formed after erratic or failed neural connections. I guess you could compare it to a computer as a glitch in software, but because your brain acts differently, your neurons supposedly will act off of recognizing similar situations in your memory. On wiki, they mentioned the term familiarity-based recognition, but it may be the brains response mechanism involving your memory when shit literally goes hay wire.
