Feminizing

I was wondering how exactly would i feminize a female to get some feminized seeds? I heard something about using a certain chemical to make a plant go hermy and the seeds that come from it are feminized? Is this true?

And if it is true,...then how exactly do i apply the chemical to the plant? And will i be doing it to a female? And just let it pollinate itself or do i have to let it pollinate another female of a dfifferent strain?(breeding strains)

What are the ways i could breed some feminized seeds?
