Can't wait till Magash blast off to another planet and grows some space bud It was only a matter of time till they actually found a place we could move onto, I'm just glad I'm around to see it

Well... as soon as we come up with a viable way to travel 20 light-years, yeah.

Oh... and that's an artist's drawing, not a photo
However with one side of the planet under constant light you'd best bring sunblock and auto-flowering genes

I see it being hectic if we first start setting up on a planet. It will be lawless. Claim the lands with power.
After looking at the image though, I don't see why we were always looking for plants in our straight line. Looks like they were on the wrong track or we found all the ones close enough to us on our line with current technology. And that planet does look a lot like earth

Also this planet most likely will not support humans without life support, in which case mars would make a better first candidate. Habitable just means that other life can be supported by our definitions of life, such as bacteria ect.
And even then we're judging it's "habitability" based on it distance from the host star.

you know what i did in english class? I came to class stoned out of my mind every day, i chugged vodka in the back of class, i put dead fish in the ceiling tiles. i put a gallon of old milk and orange juice in the file cabinet before winter vacation. i brought snakes in a tied up sweater and let them loose during class. i didnt go to school to learn, i went because i had to. i didnt care, and i didn't fucking listen to that stupid bitch. and i still don't fucking care. i tore the pages out of her books and burned them, and threw away all the books in the class, two books per day.

Actually, from what little is known, it is supposed to be able to support human life
Only is 20 light years away

That's what FTL travel is for noob.
We just need to set up mass relays so slingshot out ships.
Also, It would be awesome to have weed on a planet if it had an atmosphere but to much CO2 Doesn't it have a pretty high rate of photosynthesis?
At least that's what they said in Biodome.

Yeah, no doubt we could scientifically overcome the ability to travel to the planet, or maybe even find a similar planet even closer to Earth
Just pretty wild to think of another planet with life on it. Who knows IF or what kind of life already exists.

Those two statements are a bit conflicting don't you think?

a bit, but the fact that there is fresh water on the surface in liquid form says quite a bit
plus what is known about the gravity, and the planets atmosphere
who knows? its still pretty awesome discovery. makes me think of pandora.

That's not what it says though. It only says that it has the potential to have liquid water on the surface, not that it contains said water. Of course chances are good it has water but we're still using such a limited perspective to make predictions when we have no clear evidence otherwise.
Potentially habitable found is not the same as "another habitable planet found." That's how hearsay and rumors start from people who don't understand otherwise.
