Soilless mix questions

So I plan on using a soilless mix of 1/3 peat 1/3 verm and 1/3 perlite, but I've got some questions.
What are the preferred nutrients for soilless? Organic, or a water soluble chemical fertilizer?
At what point in the plants growth should I start using nutrients? Seedling stage? Vegetative stage?
As far as PH, should I be ok as long as I keep my soil at around 6.2-7?
How often should I check PH? Should I flush periodically?
That's all I can think of right now. Any opinions or input would be appreciated.

That sounds like it would be a really dry mix, especially for something that's going to be under constant high light

I use this and it works fine. The verm and peat holds water. It needs water every couple days. and you gotta watch the plants for ferts, since the mixture contains nothing as for nutes, you just go by what the plants tell you.
I see it pretty close to grwing with coco, its a soilless mix and it works very well imo.

I wasn't aware that verm held much moisture, at all, and always thought of it as more of a "dry' aggregate, like perlite or pumice.

Nope, verms used for water retention. But hell, I grow in straight perlite with no problems. Don't really need the verm if you're willing to water a little more.

are you growing in a hempy bucket, or something? If not, how many times per day are you watering?

you can feed when the plant has 2 sets of true leaves, its good to start with haft straight and you should pay attention to how the strain reacts ,each strain is different .and i recommend organic nuts, thats just me !with a soil-less mix your ph should be at 5.8 and soil mixes 6.5,check ph every day and you cant go wrong flushing ,or researching !
