Yea, that's what I don't like about our dumplings, when my mom made them perfect with the right texture where they were not snout balls (wrong texture) they taste really good. I cannot even eat them if they aren't cooked with the right texture, I like them to be firm.
But all this talk of both dumplings has made me think of making some chicken and dumpligs.
But I want to make them different, I want to put chicken inside of the dumplings, kind of asian style dumplings instead of a doughball inside of the original chicken and dumplings soup/gravy.
