I never made them myself, but seen others do it. And if you buy the pre-made skins, it looks to be pretty simple. But I think making the skins home made is pretty mch the same as the process of making pasta from scratch, so it's more time consuming than difficult. After that. it's basically just making a filler and folding it into the dumpling: pretty strait forward
