Please help with diagnosis. Thought this may be a black mildew of some kind or nutr deficiency. Growing clones outdoors (3+ months) in organic veg garden. Weather very hot and humid this year. Plants growing much bigger than usual and a bit crowded. 3rd year growing. No fert or spray just compost. Not all buds affected. The blackening is flat and smooth not shiny or powdery and only a little up the leaf from axis. Cheers! Looking closer for a pic, I think this has developed now into powdery mildew...Is there anything to cure it at this stage (early bud)?
Powdery mildew doesn't appear black, it's white. Are you getting temperature swings at all?? You should try to not really get us a closer picture but a clearer one.
-------------------- Dude she isn't as young as she use to be.
as plants get colder nights, some tend to bring out pruple hues. some of mine have just started turning purple this week - its a sought after trait on the west coast
