-------------------- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
It's kind of a pointless debate really unless you're talking about a fairly specific subgenre. Comparing them to bands who have Pro Tools and Reason to work with isn't exactly fair. It just gives us nerds something to rage about.
I guess my vote wouldn't count, i've been listing to floyd everyday since i was 7 years old first started with my dad, when i hit about 11,12 i was listing to them everyday faithfully, still am, they are great, maybe not the greatest. But what they did for music all around, was a big impact. I mean come on these guys together are geniuses!!! Definitely should be at least in the top ten for best musicians.
