It was cool back in the day

A lot of times I look back at the music I used to listen to while I was in high school and wonder what the hell I was thinking. Mostly musicians I now think are pretty lame, whiny, or just plane posers.
I used to dig the following bands and now can't bring myself to listen to them.
I was the #1 KoRn fan. Loved Limp Bizkit Marilyn Manson too and Slipknot Thought Cradle of Filth was the shit
Slipknot I loved because it was hardcore but once they started exhibiting a softer side I lost interest. I take a look at the angsty whiny lyrics and I think how juvenile. Same goes for KoRn really. Most of these bands just lack depth really.
What did you listen to a lot of back in day but are embarrassed to admit now?

Korn rules I could care less what anybody says, yes their last few albums took a shit but Their early releases could never be forgotten. I dont see them as who follows them but the intensity of their music that they used to make in the moment...

I didn't know they had a fanbase outside the US. My best bud in High School really liked them. He was a dude and actually liked their music. And he made me watch Spice World... not as bad as I thought it was going to be and actually kinda funny.

I did a pretty good job at not listening to what was popular and stuck to what I liked
but there are a few band whos play list has diminished considerably (KoRn is a good example)
there are also a few songs that I no longer think are cool but remain on my play list for irony or memories
