Yikes that's a tiny shotgun. Do you have a hygrometer? Might have a hard time keeping the RH up with so much of the perlite covered by the fruiting tray (if you've got the tray sitting directly on the perlite lifting it up with some small wood blocks or something similar would help it out.)

you do know that mycliem will eat metal pans don`t you. I would lift it just a bit so more surface area is open to the wet perlite, better Humidity.

Myc will eat through aluminum, yeah. Tests done on other species didn't show any aluminum ending up in the mushrooms though so it's probably safe, just inconvenient.

For sure, they will eat through metal trays too.
Plastic works best, look on the bottom for the recycle symbol and the number. Number 5 PP is what you want to see.

IMHO, building a shotgun is kind of pointless. You could have built a PMP or even a modified monotub to keep the maintenance down. With that being said, your tray looks good. Gonna keep us updated?

right now the top layer is stiill being taken over by mycelium.
ill take more photos when there's a good difference and things start to happen.
thanks for everything your saying and helping with.
-also i dont like this shotgun .. and the perlite is so messy, it;s annoying.

I made a tub in tub fruiting chamber, great for temp control and I have jars with peralite and water in them for humidity. keeps the mess down.

here is day four in the fc.
it looks the same but it's really not.

Good deal man. Should see more pins taking off pretty quick and have a mature first flush in five-six days or so.

update . just a lot of small pins all around.
most of them are still in the ground more than they are above it.
but it seems like everything is growing good.

that might be an indication that your humidity levels are too low...
