Well, I've been venting my hot air through my window AC and it just occurred to me that the AC is to be brought in for the winter. My apartment is old and there's no ducting to tap into. I think my ventilation options are limited to a sealed room or venting out the window.
What can I do to vent the air discretely. My inline fans and hoods are all 8".
To give you some ideas of more of the sophisticated ways to vent out the window.
Obviously, I am not advocating you follow this to the letter, instead, use it as a jump off point and work your way backwards, making a cheap replacement instead.
I use speaker cloth, duct flanges, and sheathing/or other cheap wood.
Works great for me.

As stupid as this sounds and depending on how much hose you wanna run or how much work you wanna do to hide it there are vents at most stoves, where the dryer hooks up, and bathroom fans have em also. Tap into one of those vents.
(May sound stupid but I've known people that have done it.)

My stove has a hood that is vented, but not hooked up. The washroom has a window and no vent.

Thanks, I had thought of building something a foot from the window so my window doesn't looked boarded up or just blacked out with poly but wasn't sure how to go about it.
