BushyOldGrower's Lifesaver

Hello folks,
So I've had multiple friends yap yap yap about how good this Lifesaver stuff is a friend even offered me his choice cut but I like to grow from seed because I find the selection process very important so that I can choose a plant that's appropriate for my personal stash. I ordered some Lifesaver seeds from auction listings and germinated/planted them in Rockwool cubes today. Out of curiousity I decided to search on ICmag to see some pictures, grow tips, etc of Lifesaver and I saw multiple complaints of hermie/intersex plants and just genetics that don't live up to the "original pre 2010 seeds" for those that aren't aware BOG took a leave of absence for a few years. Word has it that BOG has recreation Lifesaver using F1 seeds making these new seeds F2's.
Has anyone grown Lifesaver on here recently? The most recently growlogs I've seen on ICMAG don't look anything like my friends Lifesaver plants.
Best Regards, MA3087

It's one I really want to try.
I just cannot justify spending that much on seeds.

They cost about a hundred bucks. I think there's a lot of quality genetics to be had for $60-70 though, I pay $85 for Chimera genetics locally but know that Chimera drops them off himself so they're not crossing the ocean twice, and traveling on half a dozen airplanes.

If you lived nearer to me I'd let you pop my seeds and pick a mother for me

These are Lifesaver. I know they are cause BOG put the seeds in my hand himself.

So what'd you think of it? I hear it flowers fast like he says but he way over exaggerates the potency and yield.....

That's what I was thinking.
Has anyone really seen his genetics fully mature after 45 days???

it would be a wet dream if it does, but I'd be seriously surprised. I think Captain_Koons is popping a pack right now to see if he can get it to finish in 6 weeks like claimed, but he doesn't sound too optimistic ( understatement of the day right there)

No shit. I bet they would be 100% clear or at least mostly clear at that moment in time...

maybe he just counts from when the physically turn to flower and not just the light switch? takes a week or so to start showing so that sounds about right. i dunno, complete guess.

When searching for information on Lifesaver I think I read captainkoons ran 3 packs of Lifesaver... I couldn't find the finish time he got though. Link to infos?

What do you consider finished for an indica? My friend runs shishkaberry and gets 20-25% amber in 7weeks flat. This is the fastest strain I've seen to date. 7weeks is still 49days, Lifesaver claims 40-45days?

Well I don't like the super sedative type high anymore so the indicas I grow I try to harvest when the majority are milky, not amber. I grow in soil though, so I tend to need an extra week.

Nah, him and I are decently close so all my info comes from us just exchanging PM's and whatnot.

Have to remember he tends to be a great story teller. He claims his strains are in the original Bubba Kush. Crap like that. I've asked him this with no answer, "how do you cross white label bubblegum with another white label bubblegum and get a new strain?"
So to answer your question I liked the strain and did think it was pretty potent but not worth adding to the collection so it was eliminated.
and this plant is his boggle gum
