I can't wait to get my medical card... whenever that is. I also can't wait to grow. There is only one dispensary here in MI and it hasn't opened yet so growing or going to a caregiver are my too best options until it opens.
How expensive is it to grow?
DeadHearts, why can't you grow in your apartment? I know it's smelly but aren't there ways of hiding that?

Yeah I mean I also grow mushrooms so if the neighbors caught a whiff I would be pretty screwed. Not worth it.

Yeah but its much harder for ur neighbors to pick up on the smell unless you grow outside or just grow a shit ton of weed in ur house.

If they are used properly with correct ventilation hookup then they work great! Ive grown a crop in an apt without a fuss from anyone.

I really want to grow. I live in a small house that me and a good friend have the top floor of. Right now the bottom floor is empty but somebody else will be moving in sometime.
I don't know if I could get away with growing 2 plants or something like that there.
It would be so nice though.

See living in a flat would concern me even more.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Maybe I should look into growing a little more seriously. It would be so rewarding.

Depends on the size of the filter, the grade of the activated charcoal, the size of the room, how smelly your plants are, and how many there are.
A friend of mine has had a lot of filter issues even when using them beyond spec. He found that a lung room is about the only way to go for a big op. Basically he has a room where he has a ozone gen, 2 large scrubbers and a few large fans to move the air around the room so that the ozone is given better chances of neutralizing the smell. I wouldn't count on a charcoal filter on it's own unless it's beyond spec. If they're rated for a 500 cubic ft room and you've got a 500 cubic ft room I'd probably use two.
Someone on the other forum said they used a can 100 for a 1800w (3 x 600w) grow and half way through the grow they were noticing odor leaks. One thing that attributes to this is pulling air through your ducting, as smell can enter through whatever cracks air enters through your ducting bypassing your filter. For my lights I push air through the ducting from a clean room in my house this doesn't need any filtration and the air exiting my home is just as clean as before it reached my lights/grow room.

Regardless of the size of the filter if you have any air enter your ducting that doesn't pass through the filter you're going to end up with smell in your exhaust.
