Peter was an gay, brilliant LA author who was diagnosed with AIDS and cancer in 1996.
He was able to beat the cancer and live a long, happy, healthy life with the AIDS because he used medical marijuana.
The medicine that allowed him to live with AIDS caused extreme nausea. He would vomit constantly, and when he vomited he would throw up his AIDS medication.
Marijuana took away all his nausea and pain. With marijuana he was healthy and happy.
He was a medical marijuana patient but he was arrested for being "a drug kingpin" or some bullshit like that.
During his trial he was not allowed to mention he had AIDS and cancer and was not allowed to say that is why he used marijuana. Even though he vomited many times during the trial, he was not allowed to mention his diseases or that marijuana was the only thing keeping him alive.
He was sentenced under house arrest in his mother's home. If he was caught using medical marijuana or if he tried to flee his mother would loose her house.
He was able to use Marinol at one point I believe but it didn't work well for him.
He died not from AIDS but from the constant vomiting he choked on his own vomit.
He was murdered by the government because he smoked weed...
