you know what i did in english class? I came to class stoned out of my mind every day, i chugged vodka in the back of class, i put dead fish in the ceiling tiles. i put a gallon of old milk and orange juice in the file cabinet before winter vacation. i brought snakes in a tied up sweater and let them loose during class. i didnt go to school to learn, i went because i had to. i didnt care, and i didn't fucking listen to that stupid bitch. and i still don't fucking care. i tore the pages out of her books and burned them, and threw away all the books in the class, two books per day.

Some people would say its not for us to understand
If there is a god it doesnt give a fuck what we do. We are here and we are going to live out this experience one way or another in one form or another. No heaven nor hell. Maybe a personal heaven or hell but I believe that will be up to us to decide.

That's what I was getting at. People have a reason for every choice they make, a reason that God, if he existed as he is described by Judea-Christian philosophy, would understand. People aren't born evil, they are made that way through life experience.

Heaven / Hell / good / bad / yadda yadda yadda
Know what dead is? Know those nights when you don't have any dreams just go to bed, darkness then wake up. Well dead is not waking up from one of those nights. We can put all the imaginary bullshit we want on it but dead is dead.

Well if that is the case then its doesnt matter anyways. But there is no doubt in my mind there is something more than meets the eye besides dead is dead.

That's what I hate about most folks.. arrogance and ego..I have never met God, but I BELIEVE. I don't need proof, that's the very essence of faith- trust. Magash you know a shitload about cultivating, because you have done it over and over, and I respect that- but how many times have you died? For you- for anyone to say they KNOW what lies beyond, is the apex of egocentricity, and chances are they're scared shitless of death and beyond. I can't say I know for a fact where we go when we die, but I'm not arrogant enough to do that. I don't push my beliefs onto anyone, but it is MY belief, and my choice.

I disagree on this. There seems to be an incredible amount of people who claim to have out of body experiences and others phenomenon that its becoming hard to ignore. Some people have even claimed that they have seen family members takings in the other room of the hospital after they had "died" and then telling the same family members what they said and the family was amazed as to how it was possible.
Obviously this kind of thing will continue to be seen as speculation because this is not something that can be proven but for me it just makes no sense that we have this life, this experience just to die and have nothing to move on to after? Doesnt make any sense to me.

can we stop this. It's a choice. A belief. Earlier he said to get rid of logic, thinking, and reason to be able to understand. The only christians defending their belief is defending their belief in a supernatural being by saying "just do it".
To all believers in the thread, we're not surprised. Now let's get back to an intelligent argument about religion
kthanx
-------------------- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
