 Can I use a diffuser as a chillum?

This is my first post. I like psychedelics and have been on the shroomery for a while but am liking the herb a lot now adays and have questions that need answering.
So I went to my local smoke shop and picked up a pipe which is apparently a diffuser. I learned this from looking up my piece online. I put a screen in it for future herbal usage.
Uhm... Has anyone else been in my boat and how well will this work?
One advantage I found is that I can adjust it to accommodate monster bowls or jew a few hits. Also I can use it with my bong I plan on getting eventually. In addition I can possibly vape DMT.
This is very similar to what I bought. It is just a bit longer and slimmer.
I will be smoking it tomorrow and will report back my findings. I just feel a little dumb for mistaking it for a chillum. Thanks, I respect all posts.

Uhh.. damn man.. 
umm.. you could possibly.. maybe use it as a chillum if you put your mouth over all of those slits on the diffused end. No chance at all of using it to vape DMT.
quite a little mistake you made there. Do you understand at all how pipes work? One hole for the herb/one hole for you to inhale.. most times but not always another hole to act as a carb. What you've got there are 8 holes and what you need are a maximum of 3. Try taping the slits closed perhaps?

HAHA Yeah. I realized the holes would fuck it up but they are easily cover up with a hand and you can suck the fuck out of it. Also If I get a torch I can do a little glass work to remove the holes.
EDIT: BTW I wouldn't ask any of this but I can't return the damn thing.

Yeah.. if you want to spend like a minimum $150 for the very cheapest possible glass working torch. You paid what, $10-15 for it?

yea I guess it could be done, wouldn't be very nice though.
Just put it into your bong and smoke it  Looks like you have a carbon chamber in that diffuser too, those are cool check them out

I figured it out. I made a little purple condom out of the end of a balloon. It works fine now. Like smoking a cigar.

What's a carbon chamber? I'm looking around and can't find anything. Mind directing me to any good links?

Its funny that you posted that video, you see those two black balls in his downstem? that's what you have, and those bulges in the glass are designed to hold activated carbon stones

Well I have used it at my freinds party and it's called the peace pipe. It looks better now because I wrapped hemp around the stem. It is fun to watch the thing get passed around the circle. It's huge bowl makes it very social. I am taking it to another party tonight.
