Hmm, sounds like they need another week or two honestly.  I would also assume that any delay to your flowering cycle will also delay the seed production as well.  Just don't quote me on it because I'm not 100% sure if that is correct or not, but logically it would make sense.

How are you so sure that 99% of your seeds are not ready?

Yeah the nute burn must have caused some problems esp if the seeds calax is bursting open and the seed isn't mature.

Normally the process takes 3 to 5 weeks from the time the plants are pollinated.

Now as long as the seed is connected and not just rolling around in the calax it will still continue to mature and should be fine.

I find seed mature varies greatly. With 10 week (70-75day strains) I pollenate at day 35-40 and seeds are usually finished by the time harvest comes around.

With indicas I pollen at the end of week 2 and find the seeds are mature by day 55-60. Sativas definitely produce seeds faster in my experience, probably because indica seeds are generally larger. In my case my sativas are generally small calyx plants because I grow a lot of Thai and Columbian crosses usually with a skunk line I've "worked" on over the years.

I've found that indica in structure sativa dominant strains like OG Kush can be pollenated at day 40 and the seeds will be ripe around day 75-83. My days may not be accurate because in my clique im the outdoor grower and my friends are primarily indoor growers.

My observations show that it's greatly dependent on seed/calyx size.

Which is pretty much a fancy way of saying the process takes 3 to 5 weeks from the time they are pollinated.

Good eye on the calax size thing. I'll test that out in the next month or so under a strict testing condition. The way I did the Organic thing.

All of the seeds from what I can see are still attached. My plan was and still is to let them go as long as it takes.
I am not concerned with the herb on this one plant as I'm strictly looking to get the seeds.

In the 25 years or so I've been under the lights it's never hurt to let the seeds go a little longer then usual but it can be a major fuckup to be a little early.

I agree, letting them go longer has never hurt a bit.

I forgot, the main reason I said the day of pollination is thats when I find the most seeds and healthiest seeds to be produced. YMMV!

FWIW the seeds will continue to mature (if only for a few days) even after the chop. If you're up against a major time crunch just keep that in mind but like everyone else said the more time the better.
