is it funny that this bill was proposed when the president himself would not go to combat. 2003 good old jr. I always hated the fact that a president who would not go can send others to fight. just my 2 cents

Our politicians are very disconnected from the American people.
It used to be we would elect average joe's, most of them looking to advance their own business interests, but at least they worked the real jobs and knew the plight of the working man.
Now we elect career politicians who have long since forgot what it is like to struggle to make ends meet.

This has to be a joke, I thought April fools day already passed. Ever since they started this damn war I've always thought that a draft wouldn't ever happen again. Cause of what happened in the 60's with Vietnam. But I wondered if they could do something similar to it and BAM here it is.

God I fucking hate bush.
Stupid chimp-man (directed at Bush).
I'm still confused how republicans think tax breaks for the upper income group helps anything.
That last part was just a rant inspired by me watching fox news and they were talking about how trickle down works and I was just like.
But honestly I'm cool with serving in the military if it is required. I'll just do something out of the front lines like.... hmm Odd. I think the non-airborne MOS I was going to join doesn't exist anymore. It looks like it got turned into several MOS's, but it was controlling robot shit in the air I beleive.
But still, I refuse to support any conscription without being able to do the time in a civilian job. Because I'm down with the conscientious objector's.

We're already registered with the selective service, essentially the draft if we are ever in an "emergency" situation. So really they already have the tools necessary, they would just have to deem the threat substantial enough to call of the selective service, and reinstate the draft.

OOorah! Are you finishing up a degree? Have you thought about the officer ranks?
I wish you all the best in both.
-------------------- As the Lord finished his work on the 6th day he looked back at all that he created. The Lord sampled some of that fine herb that he placed all around the world. The stativas inspired him and he created the platypus. Realizing that he was stoned off his ass, he put down the tools and took another mighty toke from the heavenly bong and became couchlocked for the entire 7th day.
Hmmm... or something like that.

I have considered officer ranks. I scored high enough on the ASVAB that i am eligible for some enlisted officer program. Where after my first year i can get sent to officer training and become an officer. I think ill do that route.
