what size pots for clones flowered right from 12/12?
keep in mind this will be either drip or hand watered and the pots I have right now are the ones that fit 4 per sq ft they're also short for flooding application and hold 2litres of water when filled to the rim.

The main concern being, getting rootbound!

I would go with 6" square pots assuming you mean flowered as soon as they root. Every plant flowers right from 12/12 but I assume that was just a typo
if you can fit 4 of your current ones in a square foot then they're exactly the ones I'm talking about and they should be more than sufficient.
Another option is to build a square tray the size of your flowering area and fill it completely with coco and then just space the clones out in that as though it's a giant garden. That way they never actually feel rootbound because they have a huge space, but you can put 4-9 clones per square foot still and get a very nice looking scrog going.

Yeah, I meant flowered once they root.
Mine are 5.2" or so, they're 2litres each and 49 fit into a 3x3' area. I'd like to do a bed but I don't want to have to build one I might try to find a 3x3' cement mixing tray or something today. I might also look into smuggling up a ebb and flow table or something. I live in a 4plex on a busy street so I try to be as discreet as possible. My neighbors seem to mind their own business as I haven't yet met some of them and have been living here for 2 months.
I don't know about packing 9 into a sq ft that's just crazy a friend did 100 or so in a 4x5' under 1kw but that's way excessive in my opinion!

I have used 20 oz. solo cups for clones straight to flower without any problems what so ever.

BTW, I didn't find anything suitable for a grow bed. I could check out the hydroshop and buy a box or something to bring them up in... or maybe even just wrap them up. If I end up buying a table I'll probably just go hydro as my friend is willing to donate parts (His tables are too big though!)
I've never SoG'd before so I don't really know how much root mass 2litres of coco can handle or what ill effects I'd have if they become rootbound at that size.

Well, 2litres is 67 ounces.
You didn't get root bound in those cups?

Never had an issue when going straight to flowering no.
I did one from seed in a 20 oz solo cup as well wouldn't recommend it to anyone because it did root bound so bad the cup split and I still got 200+ grams off it. Lucky I know. Here's some pictures from that grow.

You got 200grams off a plant flowered from seed? How long did you flower it for? Pictures of the plant?
That first plant seems really untamed even for a sativa. I've grown pure hazes that were more tamed that that. That would definitely be a problem in my room. I've noticed sativas grown in small pots generally have a very horrible structure. I saw pictures of someone who grew a haze in a 1gal pot of soil and it grew much like that picture. I wonder if it has anything to do with limited root space?

That plant was vegged for a couple weeks before flowering. I had it tied down tied up almost looked like a spider web holding the plant in place. It took almost 12 weeks to flower out, wish I had research super cropping when I had that plant but oh well live and learn right.
Here's another picture for you.

Some where in that neighborhood.
I had a journal on it here. http://www.growery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/284710#284710
To date one of my largest harvests per single plant.
