Soil Growers: 1. growing from seed 2.3 month old plants 3.about 17 inches 4.5 gallon 5.my soil mix went something like this "compost/peat moss soil/compost/perlite/peat moss soil/perlite/coir/gypsum/Dynamite soil/perlite/coir(hydrated in Super thrive mix)/verm/gypsum/miricalgrow potting mix soil cactus soil small rocks larger rocks" 6.i usually only water when i can see they need it. if they don't show signs of dehydration ill give em water after 4 days. i use airated faucet water( water is 100% safe and good tasting to drink by me, i have used it directly out of the hose for mj in the past with no problems.) 7.i dont check ph, i know, i know... 8.i use these guys 9. I Dont foliar feed but i have treated with neem as a preventative. also i have heavy fogs almost nightly now coming directly of the bay. 10.using the sun 11.the ph of the soil is about 6 - 6.5 but haven't checked since i made the soil. 12.a few spiders; Not spider mites, i know what they look like i have minimal experience
i just wanted to add. it looks like thripe marks to me. i have identified and controlled thripes in the past. but there are no thripes here, and i dont see spider mites I haven't neemed in about a month should i start that up again. also i think it might be from the saltwater mist but my other plants dont seem to be affected at all. i dunno opinions?

When using Neem oil to get rid of spider mites you need to use it along with some sort of dispersal agent. It can be something as simple as Dr. Bronners castille soap,. But I prefer a product called penetrator. It's originally designed as a nutrient delivery system, but w when d with Neem oil. Apply every 5 days for 2 weeks to make sure our getting all the eggs that are hatching.
Or you could always go with predator mites, But I tend to reserve those for flowering times.

You should be able to see them, have you been able to spot them in the past?? Using neem didn't give your plants mites by any means. It looks lke your growing outdoors, so I bet it was just a matter of time.
I don't know what to tell ya man. It looks like spider mite damage to me, so I'd treat it as such.

i know the neem didnt give it to em lol imagine... i have been able to see mites in the past, i know what they look like, i have seen the red ones and i have seen the green ones. i recently have seen what thripes look like to. but not on these plantsthey have been bug free. this is what i think they were in a garden for a while tho so there were natural mite colonies around and didnt stick to the mj but now that they are on a patio they were isolated and the mites took advantge of what they had.
i have scattered showers for the next week or so should i try and hit them before or after the rains?

Do it now before the rains and then you wont have to rinse them off.

Is there anyway that could be damage from the Neem oil? The reason i ask is that it's strange he isn't seeing any signs of spider mites, and I know certain plants can be touchy with oil based foliar sprays, due to the fats clogging the stomata

its like 3 in 1 rose spray or something like that.
it has pyrethrins in it,along with sulfur for some reason...but i had relativley good success with it.

Well of course the damage that has been done is going to stay. They can't heal themselves.

I heavily doubt that Neem oil is to blame.
Did you mist the leaves during the day time?

no. never misted durring the day, or in the morning for that matter. only after the sun went down. i still to this day have not seen any bugs on my plants at all.
in fact i haven't done anything to fix it and the problem is gone so i dont think it was bugs....

i have come to the conclusion that it is flies. regular house flies that are attracted to the smell of garbage.(or skunk) a fan has hellped keep them away. but they love my plants.

Are you still spraying with the neem?
If not, I think it might be from the oil not being "mixed" with the water and forming beads of oil on your leaves.
