1. Are you growing from seed or clones? seed
2. How old are your plants? month and a half
3. How tall are your plants? 18" mebbe
4. What size containers are they planted in? ground, recently transplanted
5. What is your soil mix? dirt, some existing fafard ph balanced potting soil left on the roots
6. How often do you water and what type of water do you use? maybe once every three days. obviously more space between waterings if it rains. tap water
7. What is the pH of your water? have not tested. well, not public water
8. What kind of fertilizer do you use and what is its NPK ratio? canna terra vega. if it's important i'll check the npk, but it's something like 3-4-2
9. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything? nah
10. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights")
11. How close are your lights to the plants? 93 million miles
12. What size is your grow space in square feet? outside
13. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space? -
14. What is the pH of the soil? in between 6.5-7. i'm going to get a digi tester soon and get a more accurate reading then maybe a little lime to raise ph if it really is closer to 6.5
15. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space? i saw some red spider mites on my plant once. only one or two. some slugs have been spotted and i think they do eat some of the lower leaves but the plants are growing much faster than the slugs can eat
16. How much experience do you have growing? meh
hmm so these spotty things have developed recently. they started before i put my plants in the ground, when they were in pots. now they are in the ground but the affected areas have spread.
these splotchy brown patches develop, then the tissue dies where the splotches are, then the entire leaf dies. i'm thinking this is an insect problem, but i'm not really sure. only a few plants out of the whole bunch have this issue and only a few leaves on each one have it. my plants have recently recovered from a n deficiency problem which i had mistaken for nutrient burn. i just started feeding the recommended dose instead of half strength. after that they looked great, wow. bushy as fuck with some lst. but then this problem happened. can anyone shed some light on this? thanks. much appreciated

anyone? if better pictures of the condition are required, this person had the same issue as me, minus the curling tips.
this condition has spread to all of my plants now. i can't see any insects on the leaves so any help at all'd be appreciated. thank you

Dunno, this is not something I've seen a lot of myself. Looks like you had your plants in containers indoors, then transplanted them outside? Did you dig a hole and fill it with the same soil as was in the containers, or, did you just plop your plants outside using the natural soil?

no, i used plain topsoil. i thought about bringing in a bunch of the potting mix but i decided against it. the soil around here is generally pretty fertile, and the pH measured about 6.5-7 using a soil test kit although i should really get a digi tester. i think i may add lime but i'm undecided at the moment. thanks for your response coda!

It is my understanding that it is best to transplant to the same soil you are currently using. This eliminates possible stress form the many differences, some times extreme differences in soils.
