Want to work in Cali?
take their jobs.
Idk if anyone is actually in dire need of work, but if you are it's better than nothing. 
I'm honestly curious if America would work those jobs. If it weren't for the whole "me not working because we would lose money if I did" thing I would.

I'd work on a farm if they didn't pay me unfair wages like they do the mexicans.
I would pick fruit for a living if it payed more that $15 an hour with a full paid lunch and 15 min breaks ever 2 hours and safe work conditions.
This is why they hire illegals.

Well they have to pay you at least minimum.
Otherwise YOU could call the government over it.
You are a US citizen so you are guaranteed minimum wage.
If they pay you diff you can get the farmer in deep shit I'd assume.
That's what I would do, and report every illegal I met.

This kind of thinking is part of the overall problem. People who are so disconnected from the situation, who don't bother to be properly informed, just passing their ill advised judgments like they actually make sense.

I'm not misinformed, I know they cant pay workers that well and that is why I'm not a fruit picker. Unlike me (a former union meat cutter) mexicans will do it for way under minimum wage.
My point is after being paid $10 -$20 hourly for an awful job as a unionized meat cutter with decent benefits...... I could never go pick fruit and get paid $4 an hour to be treated like a slave, the industry could actually afford to pay americans a liveable wage but I dont think many want the job.
I'm pretty stoned hope that makes sense, if not I'll try again tomorrow.

Naw, I'm pretty sure you will be able to experience the luxury of being an illegal immigrant. 100 degree weather with 16 hour working days, and all the free strawberries you could eat.

And if they don't pay you minimum wage it's completely within your rights to bust them.
Also if you work overtime they have to pay you overtime.

Because their cousins will leave you face down in a ditch when you start deporting their entire families. Its obvious you haven't had much real life experience with our "friends" from south of the border.
About wages, I'm sure these people (If you look you can see this website is actually put up by United Farm Workers, who negotiates the contracts/wages for their union members before they begin a job) are getting paid decently, compared to minimum wage.

Well if their cousins are going to be little bitches whatever, I'm just saying I'd do my civic duty.
They don't belong here, so I'd do everything I could to get them out. IMO illegal imagrents should be put to death, but that would never happen.

At this point they are an essential part of our economy, I don't think they do much more good for us than bad, but they are here to stay.
Keep in mind there are many individuals who are Mexican's, but are legally here on a work permit. Not where I come from of course, but down south.
I know some illegal immigrants who have their own homes, families, and are making 40k+ a year working for local companies. 10-20 years ago when they came to this country, they were nothing but cheap labor to be exploited, but over the years, they have made lives for themselves here, and I can respect that.
They have become so essential as part of our local businesses, that they go on strike from time to time to demand higher wages, and within the day they go on strike, they get the raise.

It's not imaginary, it is a very real boundary between two nations. And if you don't understand a nation has the obligation to restrict and monitor the flow of people moving into and out of a country, then you're not worth talking to.
