Yeah dude, he put so much soul and effort into what he wrote and played.  Awesome writer.  I get that same effect you're talking about when I listen to old AIC and Layne Staley.

It's like a state of mind and being n shit.  Without the shotgun in the mouth of course.  Although, I've heard there was so much heroin in his system at his time of death, that it would've been physically impossible for him to actually pick up the shotgun.  That's another argument for another time though.  But badass writer for sure.  He was part of/leader of a movement for sure.  Definitely changed music.  I'm high as giraffe food at the moment dude.  Music is awesome :jamming:

Such a good album. Still relevant after 17 years. AIC unplugged too, probably the best two unplugged performances of all times. I like tracks from both for when I'm really tripped out on a heady dose of a psychedelic cause it's so fucking mellow. On a plain for example, that is a song you can just fly away with. The album version is great too, but the mellowness of the acoustic guitar just intensifies the fade that much more.

Never gets old to me. I don't listen to it daily or anything, I cycle through a healthy amount of other good music but when I'm tripping it NEVER loses its touch. Also I remember one time during an acid trip I decided to listen to Nevermind to finish to end in order and it was fucking with me CRAZY because when I was a kid I would always listen to that album, have my parents play it in the car, etc., Nirvana was my favorite band from the time Kurt was still alive. It was giving me crazy insightful flashbacks to my childhood and translating some lost sense of joy and magic to the music, when I listened to it then long before drugs it's almost like it released some natural psychedelic in my brain because as I vividly remembered listening to the album that's literally how it felt, like magic.

Ahhhh.. music. Such a beautiful thing.

This one will damn near make you cry man...with the lyrics and the way he sings it:jamming:

"Would you like to hear my voice sprinkled with emotion..."

Not so sure Courtney didn't kill his ass, but then again, I can also see him as the type to blow his brains out, so what ya gonna do?
