What do you think of him?
I don't fully understand him... some people just can't handle acid with a bit of Beatles.
I am also fascinated by him.
Oh, by the way when I was in high school I had a "Charles Manson for President" stamp on my agenda book. 
Needles to say I didn't know the full story.

He used social engineering techniques and manipulated weak-minded people who wanted nothing but to be loved, then his own cult progressed. Oh and death-- Can't forget that.

He was a decent folk singer, had high charisma, and could fuck any of the chicks in his group for vast amounts of time.
To me he is just a music artist, that got pissed when they didn't get famous.
One of my friends was obsessed with him in HS, I constantly called him a dumbass.

I gotta add that to my iPod, i have helter skelter but i need that version!
anyway, so apparently manson thought that song was about one race living and the rest being killed or something? it sounds to me more of like drugs/happiness and going up and down in the shift of the shiva conciousness. like enjoy the happiness for all you can, but more importnantly also have constant universal happiness and enjoy the sad.

He thought the oppressed blacks would rise up in a race riot against the whites and win. Manson and his family were going to hide out in the desert and wait for the race riot to end. K.
Once the riot was done, the blacks would realize they weren't responsible enough to run the country, and Manson and his family would emerge from the desert and become the leaders of the new world.
Some say the killings were to spark the race riot...but I watched a show that said otherwise kinda. One of the Manson family dudes got arrested, and they wanted revenge for it, so they just slaughtered a bunch of people.
Manson swears he never gave the order to kill. I dunno.
Whatever. Hes a fucking psycho, but so are billions of other people. Hes not even that bad by todays standards.

Is he a nazi? I know he wears a swastika but before the Nazi took that symbol it was featured in Buddhism and other religions/places but it was turned differently then the swastika

I have it upstairs. Got about a third in and didn't care anymore.
Found some of my moms old hippie scribblings in the back though. That was pretty cool

i found it to be a decent "flip thru" book...but def. not a cover to cover reader ..at least for myself
