I don't know man. If you tell her what it is and she is still up for it, than by all means do it. You shouldn't give her it without her knowing whats in it though.

Well about an hour ago I gave her half of a pretty weak "cannabis hemp" cookie, which she promptly chomped down with no questions. She's been calmly watching TV for over a half an hour and she NEVER watches TV. I would call this a win, perfect for days when she's especially agitated.
I want to thank everyone for helping me wrestle my ethics; I don't feel entirely like a horrible person lol.

I was thinking about this. I would not know the dosage, as old people's digestive systems don't work so well. Glad to hear your success story.

I thought about that too SmOak, I just figure less is better with her. After all, I'm trying to calm her down not send her on an intense psychoactive trip lol.

I totally see everyones point of views on this. What I would do first is contact her doctor or someone you know who is a doctor and would be able to make sure she is medically stable and would be cool with the situation. I'd also discuss this with your Mom, after all it is her mother, and in a legal standpoint, she is the one who gives all medical consent. I'd than try and talk to your grandmother about it, because if worse comes to worse, she'll forget. (I'm sorry if that sounded bleak and grim). From there its a judgement call. Personally, if you think it would really calm her down a bit, make her more relaxed and put her out of some of her misery, than I would do it. I've seen my own grandparents/parents die slowly and painfully, I would've done anything I could to help numb that pain to the even slightest extent. For those who haven't seen someone die right before there eyes, can't answer this question. No one can answer this question honestly, only you can decide nick.
