However, if Kobe and the Lakers win this year, he's got about 5 championships to get to catch up to the best player in the league.
not really, whatever team he signs with he is going to get a max contract
but like you said, I dont think he is going any where
Football, Basketball, Baseball, World Cup, Olympics. In that order.

Oh yeah, he's definitely getting a max contract wherever he goes, but you know he's still gonna do the whole, "I'm Lebron, free agency just started, blah, blah, blah." He's doing the late night rounds on tv right now too. He did Jimmy Kimmel last night and Larry King tonight. I'm sure there's a couple more too he has to do. You think the timing of that is coincidence? Come on now.

I think the season just ended for him, free agency starts July 1st, and the hosts and their staffs are the ones reaching out to him asking him to come on their show to boost their ratings.

Fuckin grimey son
Kp- damn I swore it began June first. Yeah, I'm sure it boosts their ratings too. At the same time though, Lebron wants his name out as much as possible right now. Especially while the "other" best player in the game is in the NBA Finals. Could be kind of easy to forget about him you know. Being on tv, especially Larry King, kinda helps with that.

Free Agency starts July 1st, it will be pretty interesting to see how everything shakes out. I think that is equally as interesting as who is going to win this championship
I still have Lakers in 6.

Yeah, I got Lakers too. 6 sounds about right I would say. The Celtics are gonna play stronger at home. At least they better or it's gonna be quicker than 6. Pao Gasol was a fuckin monster last night. When it comes down to it though, I think the Lakers are just the better team.

exactly, Boston only has 2 legitimate shooters, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. It puts a lot of pressure on your defense when you score under 100 per game.
The biggest difference is Ron Artest and Lamar Odom. Celtics dont have anyone off their bench that compares to a Lamar Odom.

Yeah, Rondo can be a shooter at times, but as far as knocking down the shot all the time, it's Pierce and Allen and Allen was in foul trouble from the get go last night really. I tell you what, I'm a Ron Artest fan now. He's a much different player/person than I thought he was and I hope he wins a title. One at least. He has really helped that team a lot. And Lamar Odom didn't do much last night, but he's still a sick player.

Honestly since early on in the season my instinct was telling me the Celtics had a good team this year, and would do well, but NOT win the championship. Obviously it turns out they have had a good season but even still in the finals I still get that feeling. This is what my gut tells me.
I'd love to see the C's win but I'd say it is unlikely. They have surprised me though in the past at times where I counted them out. Who knows..
