Good game so far. LA looks like they are definitely in control

Lakers are the better team. If Boston doesn't do any better when they get to Boston, then it's over. Kobe is nasty though. The whole team is really.

I'm not a die hard Basketball fan (mainly because my whiteness always seemed to cause me not to be good at it as a kid playing sports) so I've never followed it fanatically like many people, but being from Boston I gotta root for the C's. I've been watching basketball a lot more though in recent years and I am genuinely a fan of the team, although KP I don't completely disagree with you, Rondo is a tool but he's a good player with extreme dedication.
I'm not sure what the atmosphere is like in all the cities you're from but in Boston our teams (Bruins, Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots) are fucking HUGE. Our fans are probably the most hardcore of anywhere. So anytime one of our teams does good and or wins a championship you best believe there are some fucking RAGERS to go to. You should have seen Boston after the Red Sox won the world series in '04 and broke the babe ruth curse.. there were fucking party riots.

Yeah, I'm not really big on basketball either until the playoffs. I don't watch it at all until then.

Not happening. No way they can afford Lebron, Kobe, and the rest of the players they have. And when it comes time to pay Pau Gasol, they're gonna have to do that big time.

I think he's gonna stay where he's at. He's pretty much running the team now. They've got GM's resigning n shit. I bet he stays.

He's doin the media, let me remind everyone I'm a free agent and build it up so I can get the most money possible, thing. He's a great player don't get me wrong. Amazing player. However, if Kobe and the Lakers win this year, he's got about 5 championships to get to catch up to the best player in the league.

That's funny.
I don't watch basketball at all during the regular season, but for some reason, I've gotten more and more into it during the playoffs and finals over the years. I used to thing the same thing though. There's actually a lot more to it than meets the eye though. I don't think it has anything on football though as far as technicality or anything. Baseball either.

See I'm not big on Hockey at all really. I think a lot of that is where you and I grew up too though. I do think some of the violence is badass though. That's a tough fuckin sport for sure. I know a couple weeks ago, a guy got his tooth partially knocked out, pulled it out the rest of the way himself, and just kept playing. And from what I understand about hockey, pretty much 99% of those guys are the same as far as that goes. I'm not big on the sport, but I respect the fuck out of it, that's for sure. Can't say they don't have heart.
Didn't a dude, Jerome something or something like that, get his throat cut by a skate a couple years ago, almost died, and now he's playing again?

Oh yeah, he's definitely getting a max contract wherever he goes, but you know he's still gonna do the whole, "I'm Lebron, free agency just started, blah, blah, blah." He's doing the late night rounds on tv right now too. He did Jimmy Kimmel last night and Larry King tonight. I'm sure there's a couple more too he has to do. You think the timing of that is coincidence? Come on now.

I think the season just ended for him, free agency starts July 1st, and the hosts and their staffs are the ones reaching out to him asking him to come on their show to boost their ratings.

Fuckin grimey son
Kp- damn I swore it began June first. Yeah, I'm sure it boosts their ratings too. At the same time though, Lebron wants his name out as much as possible right now. Especially while the "other" best player in the game is in the NBA Finals. Could be kind of easy to forget about him you know. Being on tv, especially Larry King, kinda helps with that.

Free Agency starts July 1st, it will be pretty interesting to see how everything shakes out. I think that is equally as interesting as who is going to win this championship
I still have Lakers in 6.

Yeah, I got Lakers too. 6 sounds about right I would say. The Celtics are gonna play stronger at home. At least they better or it's gonna be quicker than 6. Pao Gasol was a fuckin monster last night. When it comes down to it though, I think the Lakers are just the better team.

exactly, Boston only has 2 legitimate shooters, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. It puts a lot of pressure on your defense when you score under 100 per game.
The biggest difference is Ron Artest and Lamar Odom. Celtics dont have anyone off their bench that compares to a Lamar Odom.

Yeah, Rondo can be a shooter at times, but as far as knocking down the shot all the time, it's Pierce and Allen and Allen was in foul trouble from the get go last night really. I tell you what, I'm a Ron Artest fan now. He's a much different player/person than I thought he was and I hope he wins a title. One at least. He has really helped that team a lot. And Lamar Odom didn't do much last night, but he's still a sick player.

Honestly since early on in the season my instinct was telling me the Celtics had a good team this year, and would do well, but NOT win the championship. Obviously it turns out they have had a good season but even still in the finals I still get that feeling. This is what my gut tells me.
I'd love to see the C's win but I'd say it is unlikely. They have surprised me though in the past at times where I counted them out. Who knows..
