These are some of my oldest outdoor. Its my first grow/attempt. So, as far as I understand it, all I need to do is keep the top lower than the main stem. Im trying to grow them in a spiral.

Looks good, a little stretched though. I hope your spot gets enough light. Make sure to remove whatever you can without making it obvious so that the light can hit it even at a low angle. More hours of direct sunlight = more buds.

They get about 5-6 hours of direct sun right now. Would love more, but its all I got to work with.

That should be fine. Maybe as the year wears on the angle will change and benefit you.
