Tenterfield police are appealing for assistance after the discovery of a second large cannabis plantation at Rocky River. Police executing a search warrant on a property at Rocky River uncovered more than 1,000 cannabis plants about 2:00pm (AEST) on Tuesday. Police say the plants have an estimated street value of more than $1 million. Along with the drugs, they also found drug cultivation equipment. The discovery follows a raid in April where police found 340 plants growing in another area of the same property. At the time police said the property appeared to have been abandoned. Detectives from the New England local area command, assisted by the Target Action Group, are continuing their investigation.
