ok. first i wanted to know this. i wanna use my attic just for germination. i have lights up there. and its all surrounded by black trash bags. i wanted to know how long i should leave the lights on for germination. i also wanted to know if anyone has a well put schedule. like i wanna grow wave after wave. i dont know how to set that up. some other input would be nice.
Germination or vegetation? I think you mean vegetation?
Germination can be done in a baggy with no lights. I put my seeds in a wet paper towel and slip it in a baggy. Then I sit it on my PC or cable box or something that gets warm to the touch, not hot, but warm. Sometimes they pop within 24 hours this way, no shit.
As for growing wave after wave, what you wanna look into is perpetual growing. Its gonna be tough to gauge it unless you know where your seeds come from, and its gonna be a while to get it set up anyway.
I suggest something that flowers fast - there are some 40-50 day strains I've seen while browsing. Get it growing, pick out a nice mother, and start to take clones. You're gonna have to figure out how long it takes your clones to root, and how much veg. time you want. Then you can cut clones every X weeks, veg for X weeks, and flower for X days. You could *potentially* even stagger your plants week for week, and harvest once a week...if you could have a big enough setup to do that.
Its gonna take a lot of thinking and counting on a calendar, but if you want it bad enough it'll be fun.

well i definately got the space and the time. this is my first time. but im growing it for my grandpa. he has grown before. but he wants me to handle it all. which is cool. but i need some other input. thanks man. what do you suggest strain wise?

Strains? Hmmm...I think you'd want something quick flowering. I was recently looking through strains on Attitudes site for the quickest flowerers. I dunno much about any of them...but these are the quickest ones I found:
I don't *think* those are auto-flowers, so you should be able to clone them...but I dunno, maybe some are. You'll have to research that a bit. And this is just Attitude (was looking through for the sale coming up) so maybe other sites have better seeds for this.

None of those are auto-flowering genetics. However, the last two are feminized and most likely a bit pricier because of it. I wouldn't waste the extra cash on fem seeds.
Ooh yeah, you're right. They might offer non-femmed seeds, but I was just looking at the fem ones because I didn't wanna fuck around, and an extra $20 or so was worth it to me
Actually, the seeds I ended up deciding on are cheap, and very, very quick. I dunno how quickly they'll clone, but I guess I'll find out. They aren't female...I forgot to post them:
