not necessarily. The employer has the right to terminate an employee for having pot in their system even if they have a medical card. The CA supreme court ruled that a year or two ago.

I assume that was a rhetorical question. However, I know in Arizona and New Mexico you are an employee at will (unless under a contract). That just means your employer can terminate you for just about any reason. IDK though, maybe if they did that you could file a discrimination claim if you have a severe disability and they fire you for taking your meds. it's a slippery slope, which is why that case made it to the SC of ca.

Hmm, i was just rethinking about this. I wonder what's happened to the people who had the government provide them with cannabis. Surely, they aren't able to be terminated from employment for using what the government provides them, hand rolled joints.
