Got two buckets of boose goin, the one on the left is gonna be shine the one on the right is gonna be apple schnaps sooo good
48 hour turbo yeast fucking rocks! 14% of the bucket is alcohol in 2 days
They been fermenting for about a week now, probably run it through the still this weekend. I'll post pics of the still and the final product when I feel like getting around to it...
I plan on making a lot of boose this summer, hopefully I start brewing some beer soon. Maybe do a tek eventually

I miss my still.
I still own it it but left it in care of a friend a few years back.
For good reasons.
Still have all of my beer and wine making equip though. I can make most anything. All the damn cleaning is a bitch though.
If you get into making beer try leaving out the hops in a malt mash and distill it with a low reflux ratio close to that of a pot still. Should come out like a good single malt scotch if you get it right.
I aged mine in quart jars with sticks of charred oak soaking in them. Amazingly simple yet you can spend $60+ easily in a liquor store for a fifth of something lesser.

Cool. I should make beer now. I am growing some hops (2 nugget and one other) but they will not bear flowers until next year.

And in food, I hate smoked food.

you know what i did in english class? I came to class stoned out of my mind every day, i chugged vodka in the back of class, i put dead fish in the ceiling tiles. i put a gallon of old milk and orange juice in the file cabinet before winter vacation. i brought snakes in a tied up sweater and let them loose during class. i didnt go to school to learn, i went because i had to. i didnt care, and i didn't fucking listen to that stupid bitch. and i still don't fucking care. i tore the pages out of her books and burned them, and threw away all the books in the class, two books per day.

If I made something that taste like that I'd just mix it into the next mash and redistill working it into something drinkable.
It's OK if you just fork over a few bucks and have it handed to you when nothing better is offered but a waste imo if you have craftsman labor involved.

Oh no, I don't drink it anymore my friend. For some reason, I tend to get a little wild when I drnnnk the Jacky D. Every once in a blue moon, I like that wood taste, but I also like the Vodka taste once in a while, and the rum, and so on and so on. Drink rarely though. It can be a rough taste sometimes though, I'll give you that, but it's good once in a while too

If you want to get wild on bourbon they don't call Wild Turkey wild for no reason. Trust me on that one. Many gallons gone and way more than 9 lives lucky.
I was serious about my home made scotch though btw. Everyone who ever tasted it was blown away. Not so smokey but a certain balance of charred wood is a basic ingredient that can not be skipped.
Never even bothered to get drunk on it. Just tasted a few shots from time to time for the flavor then proceeded on with the lesser shit for getting the drunk on.

Even if that is true (which i am assuming it could be) I still only drink this kind.
Blanco ("white") or plata ("silver"): white spirit, un-aged and bottled or stored immediately after distillation, or aged less than two months in stainless steel or neutral oak barrels.
I pretty much hate most alcohol though.
Blanco 100% agave tequila, and Captain Morgan Tattoo.

Hell yeah dude. I've been drinking more for the taste than anything lately to be honest. Nice to catch a little buzz, but a good mixed drink or beer from time to time just tastes good. Not really a big drinker though.

I wish I could drink still, I just hate spending money on booze. I used to like to drink beer with my pot back in the south but out here in cali the weed is sooooo good and abundant I always rather buy a gram of OG over a case of beer. Still love me some Jamesons and Yuengling (not on westcoast) cant seem to find german beer out here either.
