More oil

So apparently scientists are finding a shit ton more oil than BP claimed was being spilled out on a daily basis. BP and the government were basing all their calculations on how surface oil they were seeing, 5000 barrels a day according to them. Whereas scientists working underground have found a whole lot more oil in different layers of the sea, and are now estimating the DAILY seepage is more around 25000-80000 barrels a day, 80000 barrels equaling 3.4 million gallons.

you know what i did in english class? I came to class stoned out of my mind every day, i chugged vodka in the back of class, i put dead fish in the ceiling tiles. i put a gallon of old milk and orange juice in the file cabinet before winter vacation. i brought snakes in a tied up sweater and let them loose during class. i didnt go to school to learn, i went because i had to. i didnt care, and i didn't fucking listen to that stupid bitch. and i still don't fucking care. i tore the pages out of her books and burned them, and threw away all the books in the class, two books per day.

I'll just keep driving something that gets 50ish MPG.
But yes, eventually oil needs to stop being used.

The toll on wild life man. There are gonna be ecosystems sterilized for decades. It will probably take about 200 years for life to return to normal.
That's of course if we don't further fuck up the gulf

Thing that pissed me off is that when my lab class heard about it some chick went "is that going to get to florida!?!?!?" "OMG THATS GOING TO RUIN MY SUMMER TRIP TO FLORIDA!?!?!"

people only think about themselves usually, this is much more important, and could have detrimental effects
Perhaps this should be our time to say, no more oil, lets walk or find a new solution..

Yeah people are retarded. I just avoid them.
I'm getting out of the lower 48 as soon as I can. This place is a social and environmental cesspool for the most part.

^Yep! Not to mention the massive overpopulation issues we are not addressing. In america we like to wait for our cataclysms to happen then wallow in the aftermath to devise a way to prevent it from happening again. We need the silicon valley type innovation in the public sector.

Drill Baby Drill!!! How about that for a campaign slogan? That was crazy shit for sure. But after this happens the execs are just standing around with their arms crossed saying, we need to come up with a plan. Money is a powerfully destructive force. Sometimes i am glad I dont have a lot of it.

See the problem with this is huge and very deep. Everyone has to make money. And in my experience people buy a nice house on hte outside of town, then commute 45 minutes one way to work! So until we get another infrastructure in place we're stuck on the oil. And the oil lobby is fighting against reform. And you know how much money they have.

Money talks, for sure. Once all the oil companies see how much its gonna cost BP to clean this up, they will reconsider how important safety precautions are.

Fuckin right man.
Mankind needs to go back to the land. Problem is we are so over populated, there isn't enough land to go around.

The complete collapse of our civilization through financial system collapse will help us progress toward that goal. Or at least set us back a hundred years or so.

If society didn't support its government its money would be completely useless,
therefore, all the money the have been hoarding all their lives becomes completely useless, and every human in that society immediately becomes equal

The people have all the power, but the governments want to keep us in fear and make us think we need them to keep living.
We've become so domesticated.

Which is why it is our part to speak out.
The more you speak out, the more likely you get heard.
