Whats strains are piney
    #413396 - 05/07/10 09:39 AM (14 years, 6 months ago)

I just got some bud from a friend and it was the piniest weed I have ever smoked. I have never really liked piny weed but this was actually pretty decent. Not too many seeds and some of the trim leaves were still on it. So I know its pretty fresh but I dont ask people questions about where they get stuff so dont know for a fact.

But my question is what strains give a very very piny flavor and smell. And gives a forehead buzz?

Lots of strains have that effect

but whenever I get really piney bud its usually really bomb and gets me high to the point my ears ring

I just call it pine, or make up some other cool name

Yeah I've smoked all sorts of piney stuff, and honestly about 50% of the stuff I've grown smells piney at some point during it's life. Usually in the early stages of flower right when it starts to smell I notice most strains have that sort of citrusy, piney smell to them. Not sure which strains keep that smell as they mature but I would bet there's quite a few

I've smoked plenty of piney strains too. But none this piney. I mean its more piney then a pine tree.

I thought so too! But no joke, this is just too piney. I've never really cared for piney strains and dont seek them out. But this one is kinda tasty.

Hello!
The Super Silver Haze I grew out had a very piney scent. It wasn't only pine, but that was a very dominating smell factor. It also turned out to be great weed.

the piss phenos of SSH seem a bit piney to me.

I've seen PPP phenos that are piney too.

Actual pine is pretty potent so I can't recommend anything to rival the real deal :awesome:

Maybe a strain will come out called Douglas Pine.

I've got a pack of Pine Tar Kush ibl's from Tom hill.  Hows that pine compare to the others?  Did you get a pack of those too CK?

You mean Douglas Fir? And why not name it something cooler like ponderosa or something

I've got F2's but since it's a IBL it wouldn't matter much. I'm waiting for TomHill to release them because his beans seem better produced than Hill Temple Collective from what I've seen. One of my friends got Jamaican Jam and his beans were so white you could assume they were stale.

I'm on a haze kick right now. I'm really enjoying skunks too so I'm thinking of getting some good breeding material and making a Haze, Skunk, and possibly Sweet Tooth hybrid.

On paper I think the perfect one would be (Mango Haze or Strawberry Cough x Island Sweet Skunk ) x Neville's Haze x Sweet 16. I've got an insanely sativa Neville's Haze female, I need to figure out how to select a male for pure sativa qualities or maybe just fem some seeds because haze is pretty stable, never get no nanners with my haze. I just need to wait until Magash does his male/female Sweet 16 release

I've been wanting fruity hazes a lot lately, I'm a god damn fiend. There however isn't that much fruitiness to a haze they've got their own spice even Mango Haze isn't Mango if you get a very haze expression. I also want to hunt for an apricot pheno of Warlock from Magus never tried it but it sounds tasty.

I think fruity hazes would be amazing for sativa lovers because right now it seems your designer strains made for bag appeal, taste, and aroma are always stoney or even lacking for their high. I'm waiting for the Blue Sonja release which should be any minute/day/week now it's been delayed for a month or so. It's essentially a very sativa phenotype of blockhead stabilized. ''

Ew, ranting about genetics again...

sequoia, Giant red wood.

I remember this strain back in michigan called "the pinconning paralyzer". named after the region it was grown, Pinconning, Michigan. This stuff was like smoking a pine tree! sooo, piney! and it also was a creeper kind. Could smoke a big fat joint all the way through wait 15 minutes and BAM! you were fuckered right up!!
Good ol' days!
