No. Many European states are actually headed in the opposite direction. This is why a lot of Americans put their money in German and Swiss banks, because some European nations actually respect privacy above all else.
It seems Britain if anything is following the U.S. In terms of privacy invasion. There is a reason most European nations did not follow you into Iraq. Ah but Britain did. Congrats, you have a butt buddy.
I know for fact the U.S. has a difficult time dealing with Germany because the German government refuses to allow telephone monitoring and access to private monetary information. The swiss even refuse cooperation with other European states if privacy invasion is at all a factor.
Your statements are very broad and biased. Europe is extremely diverse and it is wrong to assume that just because one Nation does something all the others will follow. That's not how it works.

Actually Britain is quite ahead of the US as far as privacy invasion in many areas. They have more CCTV cams then any other country I believe. One and a half times more cameras than china, one for every 14 people. They also have issued national id cards already, even though they can't afford the readers for them yet. Britain also had the first, and now has the largest, dna database. At first they would only keep the dna of those convicted but now they keep dna without consent of anyone brought in, regardless of whether or not they're innocent. In the US we do take fingerprints but I don't believe we take dna samples of everyone, at least it didn't occur to me when I was arrested for possession.

you know what i did in english class? I came to class stoned out of my mind every day, i chugged vodka in the back of class, i put dead fish in the ceiling tiles. i put a gallon of old milk and orange juice in the file cabinet before winter vacation. i brought snakes in a tied up sweater and let them loose during class. i didnt go to school to learn, i went because i had to. i didnt care, and i didn't fucking listen to that stupid bitch. and i still don't fucking care. i tore the pages out of her books and burned them, and threw away all the books in the class, two books per day.

Eh, I don't think this really counts as trolling to be honest. I think they were just ribbing you a little (coupled with having no actual knowledge about Europe)

Well I'm from Britain and haven't been issued an National I.D card and depending on who wins the general election looks like it could be scrapped. Also DNA of innocent people is destroyed after 4 years I'm pretty sure. Aside from that you're right about the others things probably. Big brother is watching.

Yeah that's just what I remember from an article I read awhile back. Also dna on unconvicted individuals is held for 6 years unless they're deemed a terror suspect in which the dna is held indefinitely.

It was trolling in my eyes... doesn't really matter anymore.
