The one science class where my lack of artistic abilities becomes an issue....

yea, I got lucky with being able to draw my observations well
I can do most things good, or better than average

That's an odd place to need artistic talent. I always found it much harder to remember all the parts of glycolysis or the citric cycle. Diagrams and practical exams are easy if you can spend time outside of lab/lecture to work with the specimens or whatever medium you're learning from.

We are required to draw the slides we look at, the models we use, and out dissections. And label all the different parts.
It tends to be hard when I can't draw.

how much artistic ability goes into that though? I mean does your prof expect the sketches to be nice crisp lines with accurate shading and stupid details like that? When i did all mine (in high school) i just drew a circle and scribbled in what i saw. took like 30 seconds.

It's drawing the models that messes with me.
I can do it, I just draw part by part slowly. I just like to be able to visually tell what the drawing is.
Dissections I just scribble though, because I don't stand a chance drawing that.
