I've figured it all out. Really. No joke.
All I can say is Wow.
If you want to know hopefully I can write it all down soon.
I did it all while a xanax was taking effect too, so that says something.

I wish they had a mix between the "awesome", "happy", "fabulous", "proud", "crazy" and "medicated" moods.
That would be useful right now.

The illusion of understanding something profound is a fun side effect of psychedelics.
Very rarely, people like Crick make big breakthroughs on psychedelics but they're already brilliant. 99.999999% of us think 'Fucking wow!' but all we have is a fleeting intangible, of course.

I completely disagree with you.
The epiphanies that I've experienced during tripping, have been very profound, lasting and relevant to my life.

I feel like I learn something about myself or the world each time I experiment with Mushrooms or LSD. Not so much with any of the RC's. Plus the afterglow from Shrooms is much different than the typical psychedelic experience. IMO

There are a LOT of uses for psychedelics. I just got back from a presentation by Dr. Fadiman. The topic of the talk was "Psychedelics as Entheogens: How to Create & Guide Successful Sessions." It was really cool. He's a really good speaker. Anyway, I take exception to that. Maybe 99% of high school students use psychedelics for just recreational purposes. But believe it or not there are a TON of people who use these drugs in a VERY productive manner. One thing i thought was interesting in the Psilocybin studies was that almost all the people who received the Psilocybin stated that it was one of the most profound and enlightening experiences of their life. Well they had preparation for the experience and they were in a therapeutic environment with a guide and a sitter (man and woman). Now, if I told you that you were goign to have one of the most important life changing events take place if you take this drug, wouldn't you want some kind of preparation? Rather than taking 5 grams of mushrooms before the concert for your first experience. Psychedelics can unlock all sorts of doors that are closed in ordinary states of consciousness. Also, there are a TON of people who use psychedelics purely for problem solving. You need to educate yourself and not be so dismissive of the properties of these drugs. However, these drugs aren't for everyone. I think that most of the users of psychedelics are fairly intelligent, stable minded individuals.
Sorry for that diatribe FL. What's this breakthrough you had?

Nothing to be sorry for! I kind of went into a natural (well I was on drugs but nothing psycehdelic) sort of intense trance that I go into to get inspiration for my writing and it went pretty massive.
Also, I know two people from high school who smoke DMT for "divine" purposes and to inspire art. Sure, they are uneducated about it in some ways, but good people.
