The odor can travel on the wind up to several kilometers or miles. It varies according to your local weather conditions and the direction in which the wind is traveling will determine where the odor is smelled.
You can grow certain strains to misdirect anyone who thinks they smelled pot. Strains I would recommend for their unique odor profiles would be Super Skunk (outdoors this plant actually smells like skunks, and you have to be one determined crop hunter to risk walking in to a den of skunks), Misty (this strain is from Nirvana and smells less like weed and more like cat piss or old socks), and Stealth (this is a BC outdoor strain from Liberty seeds available from VISC). If you use a small outdoor greenhouse it becomes possible to use a carbon scrubber to cut down some of the odor.
Tie it so it hovers above the ground at least 6 inches.

LOL that company just made an enemy by way of their tardation. I will forever warn people to NEVER purchase from a website that says things like

Sunlight equivalent to 15000 watts/M2.
Are they fucking joking? a TEN second search on google can prove what I've had memorized for years - The solar constant is 1326W/m^2 at the TOP of the atmosphere (varies slightly by location and time of year of course). After Raleigh and Mie scattering, refraction and absorption by atmospheric aerosols you're only rocking about 100,000 lumens per square meter at sea-level. That's right, a little more than a single 600W HPS bulb.
15,000W/M^2, what a bunch of fuckin' tools.

So one or two plants can be smelled from miles away?

It is doubtful that 2 plants would be smelled miles away except by trained narcotics dogs. However, like I said, how far the scent carries is dependent on weather conditions as well as how strong the smell is to begin with. You probably won't have issues but in this industry its always better to choose safe rather than sorry.

Really? Damn, that's quite a tidbit of info. What else are you hiding from us Harry? You never cease to amaze with your random facts. Deserves a rating.

ummmm ...... the human body emits roughly 1KW/m^2. So you and I are radiating roughly 2300W of light at any given point (varies with size of person of course), just in the infrared spectrum so that's why we don't look like we're glowing.
I can't remember the exact result but you can calculate it using the Stephan-Boltzmann constant and your body temperature.
There you go, another interesting tidbit

Oh, but I should add something -
The sun only emits about 100,000 lumens m^-2 at sea-level, but the intensity of the light is what makes it so much more effective than a 600W bulb. Since light intensity diminishes as a square of the distance you are from the emitting source, a plant 2 feet from a 600W bulb is receiving only 25% as much light as a plant that's 1 foot from the bulb. However, since the light from the sun has already traveled 93 million miles to get here it's obviously a much more intense light source and the difference in intensity between a couple feet is completely negligible. That's why people can grow 15 foot tall cannabis trees outdoors and even the bottom nugs develop nicely.

Oh, that makes much more sense now. Thanks for the clarification.
