Bigger is better if you have a larger hydroponic reservoir your nutrient solution is going to stay more stable also if you have are drawing water from a larger reservoir your PH is gonna stay more stable it won't go up and down as much. Also keep your reservoir covered and your evaporative rate will decrease and will keep the formation of algae off the top and sides. Try to keep your temperature down 60-65 degrees and proper aeration is the key. Force alot of bubbles in there super saturate your reservoir with oxygen.
