 When can I start smoking again?

I just got my wisdom teeth out, its been almost a day. It went really well and i didn't bleed much and I wasn't in pain for very long. Anyone here have experience with this and know when its ok to start smoking again?

I smoked the next day. Be VERY CAREFUL though. A lot of coughing can cause the stitches to burst and then you're fucked. Main reason not to smoke is for infection. I took VERY small hits here and there and blew them out wayyy before I normally would to try to insure I wouldn't cough. I rinsed out with the mouth wash right after too. Dry sockets can be caused though, and those fuckers are painful. Good luck dude.

ahh nice, i might just smoke a small bowl and then wait a couple of days. I didn't want to get an infection or anything after I spent all day with gauzes and shit in my mouth haha. Thanks for the help man, appreciate it

actually, the main reason not to smoke is because the suction created when smoking can cause the blood clot that forms in the cavity left by your tooth to fall out which in turn causes dry socket and that can be an extremely painful and horrific experience. the blood clot that forms also keeps bacteria from entering your blood stream from your mouth, so i guess in a way yeah, smoking too soon after can indirectly cause infection.
he should smoke through his nose if he has to smoke.

ugh, let me tell you smoking after wisdom teeth removal is a duuuumb idea. I had all four removed, was knocked out for it, but the next day I was eating solid food with no pain. Figured I could get away with smoking a few bowls and a couple smokes, two days later I feel like I have a jackhammer hitting the nerve in my mouth, no color to my skin, and no sleep because of the pain.
Dry socket sucks, you don't want to get it, the only remedy for it is to pack the cavities with clove oil soaked gauze. When that happens ALL you can taste for the next week or so is clove. It invades everything, what you drink, what you eat, what you smoke. Besides that the pain is excruciating and relentless, it's really not worth the high you get from smoking the bowl that caused it. Put down the pipe for a week and man up.

lol I already smoked a blunt with a friend today, only got about 5 quick hits and quit. hope its not fucked up tomorrow.

I smoked the same day I had mine out.
When I got home from the place that did it I started popping percoset like crazy and smoking gravitrons allllllllllll day in bed. I kept nodding in and out of consciousness (I'd never done opiates before this) and I watched every episode of south park. It was the best time ever.
The next day I ate more percoset and went to see Slightly Stoopid and Pepper.
If I could get my wisdom teeth taken out again I would.

Yeah dude, they do give you mad dr00gz. I went it like a week later and the doc asked if I was still hurting. I told him no, just a little in the morning cuz it was dry. (By now, my tol was so high on hydrocodone, it didn't really matter if I got more or not) Anyways, he's like, "Well, here's another script just in case," after I told him it really didn't hurt anymore.
