Why does it make me feel messed up?
EDIT: I am saying why the lexapro make me feel messed up, not the sign. The sign was just messed up so I decorated the post with it.

I AM OFF OF IT NOW!!!
Withdrawal is horrid! It's like the flu with OCD, depression, and anxiety... but I think I have passed the worst so far... I HOPE SO!
Now I am trying out Xanax... my doctor said he would give me a script in a week when our meeting is but I was able to get some to try out until then.
Xanax =
It was hard to think so I did still ithave some anxiety because I was still trying to control and change thoughts... but... does anyone have tips to make it a better experience?
I took a small white pill... .25mg I think but might take another half of one or a whole when I try it again tomorrow, about a couple hours after the first is what I planned.

See, that term pedo gets thrown around a lot.
Is a 16 year old guy having sex w/a 16 year old girl a pedophile?
If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

Maybe to hardcore or recreational users, but to someone with no tolerance and an empty stomach I was nodding out.

Yeah. Why is that suprising? It's called SSRI discontinuation syndrome and hard as fuck! Especially when the drug has a 32 hour half life!

I guess I'm not super surprised, I just never heard of that from an anti-depressant, but then again I kinda feel like that stuff is garbage. My girl has been through quite a few of them, like 10 or more, and I've talked to the different people prescribing them.. Seemed they could only give answers that come out of the pamplet. Glad I got her off of them, and she's much better for it.

Anti depressant are the DEVIL like MH said up in the thread a lil ways! I tried Effexor or what ever it is called for a supposed bout of depression my doc said i was having. And i seriuosly had withdrawal of sorts from them only after a month. Got all sweaty, and wierd feeling for a day or so.
But some of that stuff i think seriously can make a person messed up in the head if ya know what i mean. And it seems the docs are prescribing bi-polar meds alot more now adays too. And if you were not crazy before taking some of them meds, you will be before you know it! Most are chemically habit forming and are not short term like they try to say they are. Bad stuff imo.

No kidding, that my argument to the doctors, they've tried to tell me about "documented chemical imbalances" and I ask them: If there is documentation on this then they must know whats imbalanced. They can't seem to give a good answer for that, especially when I refer them to the fact that they try to put everyone on the latest greatest bi-polar or anti depressant meds(mostly both). If there were these so called imbalances, I find it incredibly hard to believe that everyone has the same imbalance and needs the same drug.
It's all the drug pushers/reps that go into the doctors offices everyday with their little tote bag on wheels and try to convince the whole med team about how great their new porduct is, and here's some pamphlets for your waiting room. And here's some pens and scissors with the drug name on it. It's all a big racket, all about the money, not the patient.

Or is it a conspiracy?
Are the doctors coming up with these diagnoses and prescribing these drugs to make people all vegetables and conform to an evil plot to take over the world?

i also had seizures coming off of......i think it was paxil or something? i am on zoloft but i swear by it...its very mild and only acts on the seretonin so it has to be good...and when i need to come off of it i can just use xanax to balance me out for awhile

Well guys, sorry to say but I have some not so good news.
Xanax made me freak the fuck out.
It made me angry, it made me cry.
Hopefully he can prescribe a different benzo that might be better for me.
Why did that happen to me?
Is it the lexapro withdrawal?
I am still feeling sick, probably from that shit.

I was on zoloft for years and I didn't like it- didn't realize it till I came off of it.
Today is well explained in this panflit*, I didn't take it recreationally or anything, I wouldn't do that- I don't do that kind of stuff.
And If I did I am not sure if i'd like it

So, I would say that your still coming off the Lexipro. If your having the emotional symptoms still, that's what i would think anyways. That emotional deal is felt with most withdrawal. Depending on how long you had been on the lexipro your doc may have been kinder to wean you off by smaller doses.
Xanax should make you relaxed and calm for the most part. But also on the comedown you can get kinda moody too tho from my experience. But usually after a longer period then just one dose or even a couple days.
Hope ya feel well soon!

Lexapro is an ssri, mhbound.
Spacemonkey, Well, I noticed the side effects being bad and not much of positive effects. I went off of the Lexapro, which was 10mg, all at once. That's the normal weaning down thing- 10mg at a time.
Anyway, I do have emotional problems which is the reason I went on them in the first place, but I am normally not this bad.

Xanax made you angry and cry?
Man seems like you got some really deep rooted issues. Now do you know if it is a physical chemical issue? Or are you just mentally messed up?

I am starting to think it is more of a chemical issue. I am not so bad of a guy. It is rare, but reported, sometimes xanax can give the opposite effect emotionally. I felt like that crying drunk girl at a party who can't find her shoes.
